Short Itinerary
Trek Summary at a Glance
Day 1: Manali Mall Road to Gulaba & Trek to Rola Kholi
Drive 24 km, Trek 6 km • 7–8 hrs | Pickup from Manali Mall Road at 8:00 AM. Drive to Gulaba Road head. The climb from Gulaba is a steep "staircase" through Oak and Cedar forests. Gaining nearly 6,000 ft in one day requires drinking at least 3 liters of water to help your body acclimatize. The campsite at Rola Kholi is a massive meadow with sunset views over the Solang Valley. Overnight stay in camp.
Day 2: The Summit Push to Bhrigu Lake
Trek 10 km • 7–8 hrs | Start the trek by 6:00 AM. After a steep rocky climb, you reach the ridge for a 360-degree view of the Pir Panjal Range. Spend 30–45 minutes at the pristine lake (look out for the "Ice Ring" in June or deep turquoise water in October). Return to Rola Kholi for an overnight stay.
Day 3: The Descent from Rola Kholi to Gulaba & Drive to Manali
Trek 6 km, Drive 24 km • 6–7 hrs | The descent is much faster but harder on the knees, so use trekking poles. Drive back from Gulaba, stopping at local maggi points for a victory snack. Back in Manali by 4:00 PM for a celebratory dinner.

The IBEX Spirit of Trekking

Our values on and off the trail

We're always ready for adventure
Trekking comes with uncertainty. Weather, terrain, and setbacks are part of the journey. We embrace them with resilience and openness.
We embrace low-noise trekking
We blend into nature, not the other way around. We avoid shouting, loud music, and noisy games. In silence, we hear birdsong, streams, and the wind.
We protect the environment
We minimise waste, reuse resources, and pick up litter. We carry eco-bags, segregate waste, and inspire others to preserve trails.
We are self-sufficient
We carry our load as much as possible, manage our gear, and stay prepared for all situations.
We support each other
We wait for each other, share burdens, and uplift teammates. By putting the group first, we build strong bonds.
We are fit and prepared
We train well before our treks. This helps us walk longer, handle emergencies, and contribute to the team.
